CBO: Immigration Reform to Reduce Deficit by $1 Trillion

The Congressional Budget Office released a new report estimating the costs of the new Immigration Reform bill. That report indicates that CIR would lead to almost $1 trillion in net deficit reduction (see infographic).

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is a federal agency within the legislative branch of the United States government that provides economic data to Congress. The CBO was created as a nonpartisan agency by the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974.
