Hispanic College Enrollment Rate Surpasses White

There are several positive trends in Hispanic educational indicators over the last 12 years. A recent study from the Pew Research Hispanic Center reveals that Hispanics are going to college more than ever. One piece of data related to Hispanic college enrollment offers a great opportunity for a Ramirez Group Daily Snippet:

Hispanic college enrollment rate has now surpassed that of white students.

69% of Hispanic high school graduates in the class of 2012 enrolled in college that fall, while white students enrolled 67%. In addition, the rate of Hispanic high school dropouts between the age of 16 and 24 has been cut in half (from 28% to 14%) in the past decade.
